does anyone know how to reset to the default settings for the advanced settings menu? I believe I have tinkered a bit too much, and my viewer shows things pretty strangely. I did try to un-install and re-install the software, but that didnt work.

Don't know if going into preferences, graphics, check custom, then there is a recommended settings tab hit that ,might do the trick,

I think each opttion in your advanced menu... deeper... debug settings... each option in debug will have a default button.

Try deleting the app settings folder. In XP, it's at somewhere like C:\Documents and Settings\windows username\Application Data\SecondLife . It will get rebuilt the next time you run SL -- but it wipes *everything* so you'll have to click past all the newbie dialogs, etc., too.
