My little bit of mainland contains a house and garden. I do nothing to attract visitors, yet sometimes my traffic figures spike. Since logging out last night and logging back in today, my traffic number jumped from 6 to 58. Does this sort of thing happen to others?
I'm not complaining, because I don't mind people being on my property and say so in the land description. I am puzzled, though, because I rarely see people when I'm at home, and I spend quite a bit of time puttering around the house. In regard to another thread recently posted on this forum, my house doesn't have any erotic poseballs to attract potential visitors. People can walk around the garden, float in the pond, swing from a tree, that sort of thing. There are no clubs or event sites in the immediate vicinity, and no Linden road nearby. Can anyone suggest why I see these intermittent bursts of traffic?

Is your land group owned? If so and you are a group member you will count toward your own traffic number. Maybe you just have a nice place to stop by and admire. No need for a road nearby, people explore flying or buzzing around in vehicles all the time.

Thanks for the replies. No, my land is not group owned. It was my understanding that my avatar is not included in the traffic calculation for my own land. Is it?
