Let me start by saying, this fixed MY problem. Will it fix yours? Who knows, but it shouldn't do any harm.

After installing Visual C++ so I could compile SLProxy to identify an abusive object, everything appeared fine, that is until I rebooted. After rebooting I could not use SL for more then 30 seconds on the windlight viewer and 2-5min on the RC. I'm guessing it installed something that was buggy/incompatible with SL

I did some quick googling and notice someone make reference to the C++ errors sometimes being in relation to out of date .NET framework drivers. I was ALSO getting the message from Windows Vista that my Display Drivers had failed and it had recovered. This has fixed that also.

I decided to install the newest .NET framework (3.5) and haven't had a single problem since.

A copy of Version 3.5 of the .NET Framework can be downloaded from microsoft at:

Yay! Someone got some use from it!

If only everything could be fixed this easy. Second life was unusable previously.
