I was wondering if anyone had some tips for me for a friend
Every time he TPs to an area, he seems to freeze up for about 30 seconds, not able to communicate and then drops out, and has to relog.
Is there anything in his settings that he can change or something he isnt doing?
It must be so frustrating for him to constantly have to re-log every time he TPs

This happens to everyone sooner or later. There are a few things I can think of that may help. A little.
- Take of prim attachements, especially those that have lots of prims and/or are scripted.
- Go to less crowded areas.
- Wait until it gets better for seemingly no reason.

Also, make sure it's not sim specific.
Try clearing the cache and making sure the video drivers are updated. Believe me, the stupid video drivers seem to be linked to EVERYTHING in SL, like uploading and chatting... *scratches head*

thanks for the tips, but both have been tried, we go to sims that it is just him and i, or ones with people, and on the tp he crashes, same with attachments...
i guess he is doomed to restart every time he TPs
