The land desription of a parcel for sale said 100m terraformg.
WTF??? C'mon!
So I went there, and sure enough - it's like a series of open cast mines.
Is this by LL intention? or did someone find a glitch?
Are there other Zindra sims like this?

When they first opened zindra to the public, all the regions were set to 100m terraforming. This is probably standard for places under active development by Moles/Lindens..
I thought the reverted them all back to the standard levels but they apparently missed at least one. Michael Linden would be the one to poke about this, if you're really concerned about it. _____________________

LL probably would want to know about it. I don't have any problems NOT telling them but it's likely to cause drama if somebody buys the land so they can do megaterraforming then LL wanders by and resets it to +/-4m...
edit: maybe IMing the current owner and telling them that they can't rely on it being +/-100m. That puts any ethical questions in their lap, which is a nicer place for them to be than your own lap.. _____________________

Look at Map. There's a bunch of parcels for sale, and the seller makes a point of saying 100m on at least one of them.
Somehow I don't think the seller would welcome 'input'. _____________________

Not 'concerned' - just slightly jealous ![]() a bit well, ok, a lot ![]() but you have land on the picturesque Jessie. I know it's only +/-40, but you can still do some beautiful landscaping with that ... ![]() _____________________

That can be the downside of megaforming - particularly with my microparcels and their adjacent microparcels. I *could* go up or down 40m, but the neighbouring parcels stay at whatever level.
100m on a *large* mainland parcel would be fun to play with - more for a big hole in the ground with a lake of Linden water in it , rather than a precipice hanging over the neighbours. The megaforming of those large parcels in Jessie is 'unusual'. The owner is trying to say something to someone I think. I doubt that it's done for the sake of pure art. _____________________

I do sort of like how Jessie looks at the moment, in a wierd way. By the way, one of your towers is a precipice over my little patch (I'm not complaining, I think the whole of Jessie is great fun!)I agree though, it would be wonderful to have a big plot of +/-100 to play with. That's what I loved about my opensim (which sadly died with my old computer) ... by the time I finished terraforming, I didn't want to put any prims down as I felt they'd spoil it ... ![]() ![]() _____________________

Yeah.
I actually lowered my spot from the situation at which I bought it. I can't lower it any further without the adjoining parcels becoming flat-faced 4m-wide 'precipices' over me. You'll just have to meet me half-way ![]() ETA: One of the narrow boundaries on that particular parcel is a classic L$9900 for 16m extortion. It's the main limitation to lowering the tower. Megaforming would have been a land-extortioner's dream. _____________________

If its changed hands since the adfarm / micro policy, it is a new micro, it can be AR'd. _____________________

I thought the 16m micro was in reference to Jessie sim? Is that sim also on Zindra?
If so, or if its new, get the Arbor Project on it. _____________________

To clarify:
The 100m sim is in Zindra - where +/-4m and even 0m in the urban areas is the norm. We megastrayed into the very old Jessie sim, with its +/-40m when the effects of extreme terraforming come up. Jessie is old Mainland. Legacy 16s on sale for L$9900 are still not unusual. _____________________
