Hello,
Whenever I buy new hair there is usually a 'bald base' included. I understand (I think) why it is needed, but are all bald bases the same, or do they differ ? Do I need to keep more than one 'bald base' ?

generally they are all the same, definitely they will all work with all hairs and are totally interchangable. its worth noting that bald caps can alter the eyebrows though, and there are a couple out there that have altered eyebrow shapes. i have three bald caps, 'normal', 'low brows' and 'arched brows'. 99% of all bald caps are of the 'normal' variety though. When I make hair for my avi, I simply shave her head and have the shaved head saved as one of the styles. That's as much of a bald base as you need, and yes you get one stray dark hair, but that's not so bad. It also keeps her eyebrows nice and dark brown no matter what color I make her hair and she has hair in every color but blond or white for some reason. Also no jet black.

Different bases definitely alter eyebrows and face in subtle ways. I made a special folder in my Hair folder labeled "Bald Bases" and generally keep one from each designer and delete the duplicates. I could probably delete all but my favorite, but I'm a bit of a packrat.

I've found that baldies definitely clutter my Inventory, so I delete all but one, and use that one 100% of the time.
