Circumstantial Concierge Support?

Phone = Concierge. Sorry, but neither you or I are Concierge.

Hell, We're at the concierge tier and still don't get tickets answered. Chat is a hit or miss thing and works well when it's a hit and it's about a griefer.

I did have a long personal talk a few days ago with Kyle Linden on the phone and he did listen to the issue, was empathetic and took his time to help then he did update the 2 week old ticket so kudos to him.

I doubt he realized it but he also gave me some insight to the people that worked at LL and what they do in SL on a personal level without their Linden last names on.

Hey did you lower your tier from your account page? You have to do that. If you don't lower your tier you will continue pay the higher tier.

Myissue is involving a tier up based on fault by LL (kinda)

the thing is you should not be paying tier for anything other than tier you are using, be it land held, or donated to a group

I have not tried the auction for land thing so you completely lost me there

if the land is now in your group then it should auto tier down the following month

only charging you for land you actually have (or have donated to a group)

I am sure you understand how that all works, being you own land

I was forced by LL to buy for myself instead of my group, where all my tier is, thereby causing a tier up. I can't afford to pay for it even one month, so trying to get it fixed

But I am, and never intended to be. My tier up was caused by lack of information regarding changes to the auction system.

I won an auction, and had been told by various residents that I would claim it, and it was my understanding it would just be buying it essentially (The price being the bid or 0L$ was varied between sources). I checked the database and didn't learn any differently. If this had been the case (As it used to be) I would have been able to buy it for my group that owns all of my land. Unfortunately.. that isn't what happened. The land would have brought me perfectly within my tier had I been able to buy for my group, but as I couldn't it tiered me up. I have under 10000m of land when with my old tier I could have just over 10000m (Also using the free 512 from an alt premie).

So.. I tiered up because they changed how it worked without letting the information out. I'm trying to see if they would reimburse me and tier me down, as I am not using any of the extra 8000m of tier. If I can' get the money back then I may have to do an additional tier down, losing most of my land.. which I can't do, too much on it lol

I've spent well over 1000 USD since I started SL, and I know my limits on how much, and stay just perfectly within them.. this takes me beyond that limit.

So there's my issue.. and I'm hoping so very much it can get fixed.

I just want to ask a clarifying question here:


Did the OP buy the land after winning the auction, or did the land appear in his/her name without any action on her part?

In the auctions I've won, the land was always set for sale to me as specific user for L$0. I then had a choice for "buy land" or "buy for group". It sounds like this may have changed, but I want to know the details of what happens now.
