Damn. How many of these threads do you need to start? want to tell LL what you feel about the website? Try telling them on the blog and quit spamming the forum.

As I mentioned in the last thread, you are simply wearing the wrong hat.

Thank you for posting their survey here. It's good if more people take it. Don't listen to the angry people
![]() However in the future include it into one of your other threads, rather then posting a new one ![]() _____________________

This link was posted on their blog, comments were closed so this was the other option. Relax, it's only 2 forum threads of what... millions? |

They have setup a customer feedback survey. Please visit: http://secondlife.qualtrics.com/SE?SID=SV_6RJVeiYwRMmHuok&SVID=Prod Remember to mention that it now takes extra clicks to do the same thing you could do before with one click and also the color scheme is godawful sterile. Many of you may think this is a waste of time but please do not be so pessimistic. If SL doesn't know they're doing wrong, they wont change. Have your say, these things seriously do make a difference. Sure, I'll let them know I like it. The feature I use the most is now right on the front page, and the rest is merely one click away. ![]() |

I have to say I was thankful for the survey link and certainly told LL what I think of the new web site layout.

Thanks, Chri5. I did it.
Basically I said I like the functionality, but asked why it has to be SO UGLY. . _____________________

I like it. Just about everything is in one place and I can quickly glance and see a lot w/out all the clicking around. Granted, I'd like something more color customizable but that may be coming soon. Change is hard for a lot of ppl and I was using the Beta version for a while and so I was eased into it.
Thanks for posting the survey Chris _____________________

As for things that are one click away? Selling L$ is two, forums are two, the knowledge base is two. You may be thinking that only the physical mouse click counts, but that's wrong. Except for people with arthritis or other conditions that make the actual click difficult, the hard part of mouse navigation is getting the mouse to the right place. Having to hover over Community and then click on Forums is two actions, not one, and needs to be counted as two. |

Change is hard for a lot of ppl and I was using the Beta version for a while and so I was eased into it. Thanks for posting the survey Chris It's not the change that I had a problem with. It's that I don't like the changes they made. I want something that isn't so somber that it looks like a bruise puked it up. I also want to be able to chose what I want to see at a glance. I don't care about my friends list, since I can't IM them if I'm not in world, nor do I really need to see who posted to the blog or Second Life Answers, as I'm unlikely to participate in either. And the groups thing? Why have it? You can't do anything with it. What they did do right is adding the grid status blog and a link to the incident report. I like those and have them on my myYAHOO page. XStreet stuff would only be useful if we could use it to follow certain creators, otherwise.. *shrugs* In other words, we told them this before.. and they didn't listen. _____________________

As for "one click", yes I do actually count the "clicks", not having to motion the mouse briefly over a text before clicking. So in my eyes.. the stuff I need is indeed one "click" away. |

The Events page, https://secondlife.com/my/community/events/?lang=en-US, doesnt't fit on my 1024x768 display. Too wide.
