Need help with camera settings & pay from anywhere

How do I change my camera settings so that I can stand in one spot and cam around a long way without moving? Also, how do I enable myself to purchase things from a long distance away from the actual thing I want to buy?

To get the Advanced Menu:
Ctrl-Alt-D

In the Advanced Menu:

UNCHECK "Limit Select Distance"
CHECK "Disable Camera Constraints"

Also, if you find that you can't actually *see* things that far off, you may want to crank up the "Draw Distance" slider in the Custom settings of Edit/Preferences/Graphics.

Even this may not work for everything. Some smaller objects just won't rez at a distance, even with the draw distance turned way up. And some vendors actually check to make sure you're nearby before interacting with you. And even if they don't check, they may be trying to whisper things that you have to be in-range to hear. But usually those problems don't arise. I cam-shop all the time.
