Ginsu Yoon, longtime VP of Business Development at LL, is leaving. A very philosophical blog post, with comments closed: https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/features/blog/2009/04/07/graduation-day

As Yoon sort of hints, LL needs to evolve their business development executive structure. They are currently pursuing two different businesses simultaneously - SL the virtual world, which is a consumer service, and the behind-the-firewall enterprise platform they recently created. Loon has been pretty low-key, so it has been hard to tell from the outside what his contribution has been. If I had been in his position I think I would have pushed more visibly to move on the enterprise side quicker, but who knows what internal obstacles he faced.

Yoon's group is also responsible for maintaining/growing LL's list of recommended inworld builders etc. ("Solution Providers"

, and the evolving secondlifegrid.net site. Get your words in now on how you'd like to see those change -- he says he'll be here for a month to ensure a smooth transition, so I imagine the new VP(s) are already present.

Agreed. Contact your Goldman Sachs broker now, $50K in hand, and you MAY be able to get a tiny piece of the pie through an IPO fund, depending on when/how they do it.
