I haven't used SL or this forum for several months, but I am sure I used to be able to click on links, including slurls. But now they're just plain text with the tags showing.

Is there something I should set up in my profile?

No. It's the Forum. It's got BBS coding turned off. You'll have to cut and paste. :(

Actually my browser will automatically turn something into a clickable link if it looks like a link (I think), but this editor seems to prevent that by automatically adding tags

Some people seem able to make links clickable.

How, I don't know.

Hmm not sure faffing about with that is a lot easier than copying the occasional url I want to click on.

Now while I can understand the admins wanting to turn html off if they feel it is producing a security risk, surely in a year there has been ample time to implement some alternative way of showing slurls at least, so that the forum still interfaces with the game properly.

use IMG tags instead of URL tags (the address also has to have a search string character in it, that's a question mark for those that don't speak httpd. if it doesn't have one, tack one on the end and you're good to go.)

server.domain/main.html <-- doesn't work w/ IMG tags
server.domain/main.html? <-- does work with IMG tags

the link for getting the firefox/opera fix is in my sig.
(someone feel free to update that with the google chome method)
