i nkow SL5B stands for second life 5th birthday, but i've heard conflitcing things about it.

firts, what exactly is it? i can't find anything that flat out says what it is.
where is it? i can't seem to find that either
is it true LL is cutting out child avatars from SL5B? i heard both ways. doesn't effect me, but j/w if they really do that stuff
is there any site that says all that stuff, the requirements, the restrictions, the times, EVERYTHING about it?

thank you.

yea, it says what time it is, and vaguely where, but i'm still confused on what it is, exactly where it is, and restrictions. it says exhibit restrictions, but nothing else. aren't there avatar restrictions?

for attending the celebration as long as you are fully clothed, and nothing you are wearing can be considered obscene, there shouldn't be any restrictions.

Location - (it spans several sims but here is a place to tp into)
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Second%20Life%20Birthday/226/228/25

what it is -
A big party where residents can exhibit arts, fashion, machinima, and music. Plus there are guest speakers and i have no clue what else.

TY :)
one question tho, when you say "fully clothed", does that mean male characters must wear shirts? you can go to any public swimming pool irl and see shirt-less men, i see no reason to not allow it there.
i'm asking because my char is typically shirtless

From what i have been told by others involved, yes men must wear shirts. Supposedly it's not appropriate for men to be shirtless in a PG area. Not sure if this is true, hopefully someone more involved with SL5B will know.

Applications are now closed.

Applications to exhibit? Omg, I assumed the 'hallowed few' had been invited.

Why did I not hear that other people could apply?

Sheesh :(

I had asked the POWERS THAT BE to actually publicize the exhibits - but I was told it was 'too late'. Hopefully next year they use that Linden Marketing Team to respectfully publicize each exhibitor that volunteered hundreds of hours to erect displays for this event.

I have no idea why the events (those that are actually added to this wiki) are hidden under 'other interesting links. A web page with event slurls for all activities associated with this celebration could have been established.

They mentioned applying in three different blog posts, and had extended the deadline for entries twice. I'd rather you were there than some of the "this is a store but not really a store" entries.
