How do you get SL to run on a Vista machine?? My new laptop has more memory and a faster everything than my PC, but it's a Vista machine and crashes every time i try to log in. It goes through all the typical loading stuff and then just dies, no crash logger or nuffin.

I've been using Vista for over a year but not a laptop and no problems. I didn't do anything special.

I run it on my laptop, which has Vista, and a crappy mobile Intel video setup, and it runs fine. Occasionally the display driver stops responding, but it's not Vista per se. Make sure your drivers are updated.

Yep, I'm running on a Vista laptop with 2 gigs of RAM which is actually way better than my desktop! Vista tends to hog resources. Check your running task and close the stuff that sucks your resources. Most specially that fecking dwm! (desktop windows manager) It's huge! I close all but my task manager and explorer.exe

And definately make sure your drivers are updated.

Also, make sure you have the latest Graphics 'card' drivers loaded... and make sure that the graphics chipset of your laptop is supported by sl.
