I want to sell a no modify script. If I place it in a vendor the script runs (which is not what I want).
So how do you folks sell your scripts?
I could disable it before putting it in the vendor, but then wouldn't it stay disabled when the new owner gets it?

Hold down the Ctrl key when you drag the script into the box, then it won't be running. (there is a nice red highlight to let you know you've got it right.) You will forget to do this half the time, so have extra boxes ready =)

Ooo thanks! That CTRL key is a handy thing. How did I survive a year in SL without knowing that?!

It's unusual to sell bare scripts on their own. At the very least you would normally want to put them in a box with some documentation on a notecard, and then you can sell the box.
