Neko places

A friend of mine has asked me to post this question since he is having a few problems logging into the forums.

He's new to SL and is a Neko, and keen to visit Neko-themed sims. He's found that most of the places with Neko- at the start of them are not actually Neko places. He has found a few places but they tend not to be well-frequented.

He's keen to find especially nature themed Neko areas but urban grungy Neko is fine too.

Any suggestions welcome as I'm not a Neko myself and have no idea!

Thanks.

Glass Earth, even though it's mainly a mall, is strongly urban-neko themed.

The wild areas of Avaria (four sim's-worth, beneath Grendel's) might appeal to a wild neko. (Avaria seems to be my answer to any number of questions. Great caves? Avaria. Great avatars? Avaria. Great builds? Avaria. Pony-trekking? Avaria. Beautiful waterfalls? Midian... hah, only kidding - Avaria).

Others for wild neko... Straylight perhaps, Svarga, Temenos (away from the shops), Lusk (not sure how well neko and classic furries mix), "Visit Mexico", Midnight Reflections and The Extended Rainforest.

Luskwood is a good one, and neko is just furry light :-P

I'm thinking of checking out lost angels for a friend since she plays a neko and is curious about it (plus she wants me to find a decent set of weapons if she does)

Luskwood is one of the first places I found when I was 'born' in SL. It really made an impression on me for it's scope and imagination, and for being something that could only exist in SL. Strangely I rarely go there because I'm not a fur, although I'm occasionally neko and sometimes a quad raccoon. Maybe I should drop by sometime and bring back some newbie memories.

I didn't know there was such things as male nekos. Although, I suppose I likely should've seen it coming in a place like SL.

So where did you think neko-kittens came from? ;)

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Oh, one of those rare new Nekos. It's heartening to know the species isn't endangered.

On the other hand, a feral neko might be just the new blood needed. With such limited numbers, there was a risk of inbreeding. It would be a shame to have to put down a whole generation of mutant nekos.

I understand the problem the friend is having: pretty much everything in-world is now extra-neko, to appeal to the current megatrend in avatar genre. I suspect it will be much easier being neko after the fashion fades. Or, failing that, speciates into, say, Nekomata, Kami Neko, Nekomusume, and my favorite, the Maneki Neko (preferably coin-operated).

Depends on what you mean...a lot of people were kind of buttheads to the kitty-inclined before it became a fad.

Mine is not quite a hang-out yet. More of a attraction. Across from my Club School location in Bear Sim (See Slurl at bottom of post) Ryan Radio and I have built two huge crouching cats. Enter through the mouth of one of the felines and descend into an abandoned subway station. Damage is turned on so you can arm yourself and shoot the breakable bottles on the Milk Bar. I'm gatheromg Nekos to manage and staff it. Hope to have some DJ events there this month.
