Why is it not the group name above my name?

I joined in groups. But it's 'member' or 'owner' above my name instead of the name of the group. What's the reason? How should I do now ?

You have to ask an owner or officer to change the title from Member to something else.

Go to the group info, switch to the roles tab, add/edit roles to your hearts content. (assuming it's your group you want to alter the titles on)

The OP says they see 'owner' above their head.

My apologies....I only saw Member. Sorry about that.

1. Right click avatar and select Groups.
2. Select the group in question from the list and choose Info
3. Click the tab labeled Members and Roles.
4. Now click the smaller tab labeled Roles.
5. Choose the Role Name you wish to edit and fill in the text boxes accordingly.
6. Click Apply at the bottom right of the window.
7. Click OK to close out the window.
