I have two neighbour parcels which are obviously lost, i.e. nobody seems to own them or react to IMs for months. Is there any official way to acquire these parcels? I would pay a normal market price for them. Thanks for your feedbacks, Violet

Yup, well Jack Linden told me to send the message to support. I think that's what he said, there are parcels near my land that I'm sure are abandoned but must be paid up. Lots of first land from around last Autumn. Unfortunately it goes to auction.

I am dealing with this same issue right now. The first thing you should do is check to see if the account is active. Get the owner's name from the About Land window. Then go to Search and search for the person's name, double checking to make sure you've entered it correctly. (You can click the profile button in the About Land window to see the owner's profile, but that will show even if their account is gone.) If they don't show up in search, their account is not active. It could be a temporary suspension, so check back in a couple weeks to see if it is still missing. Now in theory, when someone cancels their account or is suspended by LL for nonpayment, their land is supposed to revert back to LL within a few days. But for some reason, this isn't happening with the parcel next to me. The person hadn't logged on since June, and hasn't been in search for almost two months now, but the land is still in their name. The Guy Linden thing doesn't seem to work anymore, and LL is no longer recommending it now that the population has grown so much. Instead, the Knowledge Base tells you to submit a support ticket with the details (which is what I've done). It seems that anything 512 and over will have to go through auction, but if you don't say anything, it may never go to auction. Now if the person DOES show up in search, their account is paid up and LL will not repossess their land. If you can't get a hold of them and convince them to sell, you will just have to wait until they stop paying the bills.
