If I choose Tools, Select tool, Focus or Edit in the pie menu I don't see the creator/owner information if I'm not the owner. Also I can't see the group and prim info. Has this anything to do with settings? I thought it could be Vista but then I assume it would never let me see the info but I see it with objects I own. Who can bring me some light in this mysterious behaviour.

This is usually a sign to me that other things are going wrong also (tp'ing, purchases, search, etc) Usually corrects itself with time. If it's something thats been going on for awhile, I'll defer to the experts around here.

Ooooooh I think I know the resident answer to this one!!!! Check that you haven't clicked 'select only my objects' in your tools menu Alternative work-around is to right-click the object again.

/me follows Sally again
It's 99.9% likely to be 'Show only my objects' auto enabling. It's a bug I have encountered.

Thanks Sally and Cherry. It was not the Select only my objects but the Select only movable objects. Anyway you got me on the right track. Yesterday I got so angry about it that it almost got me in a fight with my girlfriend. One frustration less in SL.

Awww HUGS (to both of you that is ... not starting another fight there!) Seriously ... if really annoyed like that pop over to the Help Islands etc ... let the mentors do our thing!
