The "Landmarks" menu in my World Map has a large number of duplicate Landmarks. I've made sure there are no duplicates in my Inventory/Landmarks folder, but that doesn't help.
Is there a way to remove these duplicates from the menu?

Check your clothing and object folders.

From: Chris Norse Check your clothing and object folders. Thanks- that solved it - I had lots of duplicates in various hair folders.

The landmarks are hiding in folders most likely. You can use the filters to show all the landmarks in your inventory. Inventory--File--Show Filters...
Uncheck all categories except Landmarks and all of the landmarks in your inventory can be seen. Alternately, you can just type the name of the duplicate landmarks into your inventory and just delete the extra ones.
One thing that I try to do with landmarks that I want to keep but don't necessarily want at the top of my landmark list in my map is to Rename them. I get rid of the excess symbols (!, ", *, -, etc) that bumps them to the top of the list. Put them back in the alphabetical order they deserve. I reserve the use of symbols for the places that I want to visit frequently.

There's also a filters pull-down menu in Emerald Viewer. Very convenient.

I've removed all the duplicates now thanks to Chris pointing this out. I have begun using Notecards for some categories of landmarks, such as Sandboxes and Hair stores. That way, I can also add notes for future reference.
