I posted this in the tech forum and it got overlooked, so I'm going to try again here.
Since update 1.21 or so, I've noticed something. I watch textures on a wall load, so I can see what they are. Then I flip my camera 180 degrees to look at the opposite wall. Wait for 'em to load. When I spin my cmera back around again, I find myself having to wait for all the same textures to load all over again.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

I've not experienced that. Has your cache accidentally been reset to really low?

Yeah, that has been an ongoing problem since 1.21, it's VWR-8503 and VWR-11420. For 1.23 there was a "quick fix" added that makes the viewer wait a little longer before discarding stuff that's out of view, but all of that has since been redone (Snowglobe's texture handling is where things are generally headed)
