Question: Zindra Land for Non-Adult Organizations?

I've not been following the Zindra threads that closely (other than dipping in to comment on the proposed earlier PG redefintion), and I've got a question about land in Zindra:

Can a non-adult organization buy land there?

Zindra will have a Linden Lab InfoHub, and NCI tries to buy/lease (or accept donations) of land that is immediately adjacent to all Linden InfoHubs for our InfoNodes. Any NCI InfoNode in Zindra will contain only PG content (as is the case with all of our InfoNodes).

I expect that Zindra will be a major attraction for a significant minority of new residents, and I would like to place an InfoNode there.

What are my chances?

Sure, anyone can get land in Zindra.

You can't get a free land swap for it, most likely, but when the regular auctions open, you can most certainly bid on it with the rest of the throng who want land there.

I'd say excellent.

NCI won't have a chance of getting a free land swap, but once the land swaps are closed, and they open the remainder of Zindra to anyone willing to pay for parcels or sims at auction, your money will be just as good as anyone else's.

But be prepared to pay through the nose, or else to be out-bid in a heartbeat by land speculat0rs hoping to make mega-profits with extortion-rate resale prices.

As of now - the info hub is rather isolated though. There is a sim name "Zindra" next to it - but it's all water. And then a sim or two later - that's when you hit the continent where the available land will be.

But yes - I guess there are two waves a transfers going on first. Then the rest of the land goes up for auction just like any other linden land. (Maybe it's just one wave and the "auction" phase is the "second wave" they mentioned. I don't know).

Claim NCI teaches a escort class and get a parcel for that in a land swap in Zindra. I think there is room available next to the large penises in Mosh.

You could also buy land from someone privately. Not sure how close you could get to the infohub in Mosh, though. It's pretty well protected.

That's a funny idea, but LL knows us well enough to know we don't. I once tried to have NCI teach a "SL Sex Education" class for newbies, but I underestimated how much the fact that NCI was a safe, non-adult place meant to many of our helpers. It was a mess. I ended it back when LL originally said they were going to implement Adult content filtering (over a year ago), and I felt very bad for the person who had created and taught the class.

I joke about the large pensis but if you log into Mosh at (128, 128, 0) you end up in the build that the large penises are outside of. This land is labeled as a infohub from the new owner. Perhaps they need a NCI presence in their infohub structure. Right now it is completely empty.

Its connected to that protected land railroad station there. Its where most of the traffic in Mosh will land. Looks like a good spot for a school. I'm pre-registering for my escort class Carl.

I think they will Ciaran. So far no Linden Intervention. I'm not sure there is a rule against it in the TOS or CS in Zindra. We shall see. If LL represses someone the second day after they gave up their other land and was forced to move to Zindra to stay in business we will be hearing alot of grumbling.

Yes, Carl mentioned it upthread in post #10. I went to one, out of curiosity, and it was very well done. I thought the instructor did an excellent presentation. (And yes, it was very tasteful.) I'm sorry to hear it had to be discontinued.
