Hi Baron and welcome! To create object on the land you probably have to join the group that owns the land. I would IM the person you pay the rent to for an invite. Once you are in the group, go to groups and make that group active (often called "wearing your group tag" so that you will be permitted to build there. To make the ad board posters you need to create them in an outside program like paint.net, photoshop, or the gimp. Take pictures of a model wearing your clothes inside SL. Save the snapshots to disk and then use them in your graphics program to make your posters. Once you have them you have to pay 10L$ per texture for each poster to upload them into SL. Then, apply them as a texture to your box prims and place your items for sale in the contents of the prim. For best results, make your posters 128 by 128, 256 by 256, or 512 by 512 pixels so that when you upload them and apply them to a square prim they are not distorted. Also, if you are selling things you might want to look into registering at these websites and sell online through them too. http://www.xstreetsl.com/ http://shop.onrez.com/

You're welcome and good luck!
BTW, if you are serious about going into business you might want to have a look in the "Advice on Sales" thread here on the forum. It is really long, but full of great advice.

I suggest that you take some time to just learn SL before going nuts about sales and having a shop. At the very least, learn the market you intend to compete in.

Let the rent on your shop expire. If the landlord gives refunds, cancel the lease now. You're not ready to go into business yet, IMO.
Here are some things you should do BEFORE you rent a store.
1. Create original content to sell. Clothes, hair, vehicles, weapons, furniture, animations, textures...whatever you like and are good at. There are a ton of people selling the same, low quality, "business in a box" items. You MUST have your own stuff to have a prayer of making money at this.
2. Learn Photoshop, at least the rudiments. Or another image editing program. You must be able to create advertising materials...signs. Text combined with images. Learn how to take pictures of your items in SL, enhance them in Photoshop, and upload them back into SL for use.
3. Learn how to make a vendor...a prim that contains your item and will sell a copy of it to a customer. There are free scripts to do this. You can also buy multi-item vendor "systems" in world from places like Hippo Technologies or JEVN. Your vendor prim should contain the item, a landmark to your store, any notecards needed to tell somone how to use the item and how to contact you if they have problems. The advertising picture on the vendor prim should include the price of the item, and the permissions on the item (e.g., Copy/Mod/No Transfer).
4. Learn the different ways to market your product. In world magazines, fashion blogs, shows, contests, New Products, Lucky Chairs, Search...learn how they work, what they cost.
5. Find a location. Not just any store. Find out what the mall owner does to promote their merchants. Events, contests? How do they advertise? How easy is the place to find in Search? What rent do they charge, and how many prims do you get for it?

And after doing all this successfully you still think SL is a "game" I'll give you an even longer to do list for becoming a successful SL merchant. If after completing that and still call it a "game" my hat's off to you

Have to agree, odds are you will sell stuff thats for free elsewhere, i too would advise to get more experience/acquainted first. See what search brings you on your general RL interrests, spend some time in a Sandbox, and visit shops you want to compete with. *Last but not least there's ton's of documentation on creating clothing and other stuff, including templates. .

This means you have probably picked up a Business in a Box of clothing to sell. You should know that all of that content is either Freebies that are available to everyone all over the grid and/or stolen content. If you want a respectible business in SL, you want nothing to do with those BiB setups. As others have said - learn SL, learn your desired market, and learn how to properly create your own content. SL is not a game in that respect and will require lots of hard work and time. If you do not want to put in the time and effort and/or you wish to continue it as a game, then I suggest you simply put in your own money to buy L$ to have fun with.

Tried to check out your profile to tp in and check out your work, but your shop isn't listed there. Adding it to your profile pics is a place to start...
