With the keyword 'furniture' in the All Search my shop was always at the third page, for months now. Since two days Search has become erratic. At one time when I login I'm still at the same page, the next time it's completely disappeared from Search, cannot be found anymore. I didn't change anything about the land, description, keywords, name etcetera.

The strange thing is that when I ask my friends if they can find my shop in Search, at that same moment, they do see it at the third page. Yesterday it was the opposite: I could find my place in Search, but some of my friends couldn't.

I wonder was this means: does LL have different search servers and is one of them not working right? Has anyone else seen this behaviour lately?

Search always finds my place 100% of the time... Furniture is a pretty common word. You're expecting to find your needle in the haystack on every try? (o.o)

Lol, sure. But my question is: are there more Search servers and is one of them not functioning properly since a day or two? For months my needle was found 100% of the time.

Btw: I could of course use a keyword combination such as 'hey come look at my nifty banana couch' (because I do have a nifty banana couch) but I'm not sure if many people would type that in their search window...

Hi Paulo!

Yes, there are multiple search results available at any one time and positions can juggle around a bit between them. I think Phil has documented up to three results visible at any one time. No way of knowing which one an avatar is getting, and I've had mine change when I relog at times.

Now, why it isn't there....

I'm afraid I can't help with that one.

BTW, I see you on page three for furniture.

Eyyy Nimue! We have some catching up to do

Well, I must say that the disappearance on one of the search servers doesn't hurt my business, because I mainly focus on other keywords. But it's strange that obviously one search server can't seem to find my land for a few days now, but still finds all other familiar shops at pages 1-2-3 etcetera. And again: I didn't change anything.

I guess I'll have to wait it out for now, or else submit a ticket.
