Hi guys,
I have a sim with four void sims of sea surrounding it.
What I would like to do is to have the sim in the centre surrounded by fog, that clears as you go through it to reveal the magical place within.
Does anyone have any idea on how this can be accomplished?
Does anyone know of any sims where fog is used to good effect.
TIA
Rock

Hi, we did this at the sim "Snow Valley Lake" and surrounding sims. SL clouds are at about 150-200m height So, we raised the terrain and water level to that height

Actually, it would be neat if you could control the cloud altitude on private estates.
Edited to add: There are a few weather control systems out there, I have one that I bought somewhere that would let you fill a sim with fog. It looks ok but it uses a lot of mega prims to achieve the effect, and from some angles it looks pretty fake. You set the altitude, area, density, etc and it does the rest.

I know it's not the same and not everyone is using a viewer capable of it, but there are always the Windlight 'Foggy' and 'Blizzard' presets. A roleplay sim I used to be in had a bot at the landing point, informing all arrivals of the weather down in the roleplay areas, and suggesting Windlight presets we could use to enhance the mood of the area in accordance with the weather forecast.
