I'v been to a couple of parcels for sale on islands, and some I notice have like- sparkle sand. I'm assuming this is a texture and have been to a lot of tex places and can't seem to locate something like this. Anyone have any idea of where I might purchase this?

If you mean it "glints" at times, that would be very ingenious partical effects, not textures.

Textures in themselves, don't "sparkle" though they may look like the have a "shine".

TRU, GNU, Textures Unlimited are the three "bigger" places for textures that pop into my head, though.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

Hi Jessy- no wonder I couldn't find them, i never thought that it would be something like particle effects and not the texture themselves. But, that is exactly what i'm looking for, maybe sparkle was the wrong word, you're right, it's more of a glint effect. Thanx for the reply.

Anytime, and if the effect is done so well to make you think it's part of the land, I'm impressed. Particles are hard to set right and still look nice. (point of note: the UGLY effect of blingtards lol).

I'd prolly recommend IMing the owner and asking if they were willing to sell the particle effect script they are using. Unless you're a particle wizard (and I'm not ^.~) it can be frustrating to get the effect even close to what you want.

Good luck ^.^

Good idea about IM'ing the owner--she had posted on the forums about having trouble selling her land and I went to look at the parcel and her effect was really nice. I'll have to look back the last couple of days of posting to find her. Thanks for the suggestion!!

EDIT:I found her--she's a texture artist/builder. No wonder hers looked so good!
