To whom it may concern,

Whilst I normally don't mind a little bit of official email from SL, some of the items suggested for me seemed a bit... out of my style.

First off, I should say that the 1915 motorcycle and the Pirate Poet Lady's Outfit did seem pretty cool.

Though, I am not a lady. While I have nothing against people who crossdress, and think the outfit is pretty cool and even know the designers (hi!) ... it's just not me. I'm a stuffy land baron and not likely to crossdress; even the most basic marketing data from my years of using SLExchange should indicate that.

Same for the complete Rhonda outfit. Sure, it would look good on somebody, but imagining my Desmond avatar in a prim skirt, stockings and a thong is just... painful.

As for the shikonkama... I don't even know what a shikonkama is. No, I'm not going to google it. It had bits of chain on it.

The Russian animated BDSM throne was also a near miss. I suppose some land barons might have a castle, and maybe they would put a throne in it. But, gods man, how did XStreetSL determine that I wanted a Russian animated BDSM throne?

I have never bought anything even the *least* bit sexual. Was it the megaprim pack that triggered this? Perhaps they felt I was compensating?

Ultimate texture organiser... okay, I might buy that. But I'm doing pretty well with my... penultimate texture organiser. It's good enough. But, okay.

As for the "Simulated Undress Male Stripping & Clothing Removal ORIGINAL" hud... well... hmm. Land barony isn't THAT bad! At least they got the gender right, but, please. The day I need to use that in SL... hoo boy, those will be tough times. Especially for those having to watch.

* * * * *

I beg of you... collect better marketing data on me.

I have no qualms... in fact would prefer it. Nothing I have ever purchased or sold on XStreetSL would have indicated those items!

I buy mainly sculptie packs, or megaprim packs or the occasional Victorian themed item when I can't seem to find it inworld. I sold houses and furniture.

For this, I got animated BDSM thrones sent to my corporate email.

Please adjust and try again.

Warm regards,

Des

It's called "Supply Side Economics" Desmond. It's how LL work. "Make it available and they will come."

They probably have you confused with one of your alts, Des...

But, as long as you got the ad, you could buy me the Pirate Poet Lady's outfit and then take me for a ride on your 1915 motorcycle.

Just a suggestion.

What bugged me about these is when I tried to tell them "no, I don't want this junk mail": the only way they gave me to opt out was to opt out from all mail from Linden Lab.
