Welcome Sim

Helo ! , I would like to know how can you get listed as a welcoming area for newcomers , my friend got his own sims and would like to transform it as a welcoming sims for new people joining Second Life , would be nice if someone would explain me in details de different step to accomplish that since my friend is not really good in english , I will have to translate it to him or maybe a link to some details about , thank you in advance

If you just want them to be help locations new users can visit, you don't need anything special; just advertise them as such.

If you really want your sim to be an Orientation Island, where newbies rez for their very first visit to SL, then you have two options. Become a Community, or join RegAPI. Being a Community will put your sim on the list of entry points offered to every new user, but it is fairly difficult to do this - you usually have to be invited, but I suppose there's no harm in asking. RegAPI will let you add new users to SL from your own site and then send them to your sim. This you also have to apply for. It isn't really for providing SL newbie experiences though, it's for entirely self contained ones like CSI. Still, you could ask.

For either route the method is to ask LL in a ticket or Support call.
