For some reason ever since I logged on yesterday animated textures are not showing up as animated for me. I have tried relogging and clearing my cache but it hasn't helped. Everything else appears to be normal. I have not made any changes to my system that I know of. Should I issue a jira?
System Specs: NVIDEA GeForce 8400 GS 2 Gigs RAM Running Windows Vista.

Under Advanced/Rendering, there is an "Animate texture" selection. It may have been turned off by accident.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. There is a bug with my video card that causes me to have to turn off palletized textures (whatever that is) everytime I change clothes or I look like I'm wearing some sort of weird body suit. I apparently accidentally clicked on animated textures yesterday.

In fact, the bug is rather that SL defaults to *using* the outdated palletized textures. There's been a lot of kicking and screaming about it on the Jira VWR-7957, but it should be changed, with a "fix pending" status, ready to roll out in the next update. http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7957?focusedCommentId=81471#action_81471Palletized textures is a technique where each texture uses only a limited amount of colors, chosen from a palette, rather than having each pixel describe the full RGB color, very much like the GIF image format lets you use 256 specific colors rather than the full RGB model. It saves some memory by sacrificing some color precision, but with modern graphics cards and memory, it's not really worth it, and it's falling out of use.

Thanks, Tali, for finally explaining palletized textures to me. It had always seemed just so much geekspeak. Grizzy, I "fixed" my nVidea card clothing issue by downloading the older drivers, version 175 point something. It keeps you from having to constantly reset the palletized texture setting. I hear this is bad for playing newer graphic intensive games, but is fine for SL. I was scared to do this, but my computer didn't implode or anything. I have a link somewhere if needed.
