This is mostly with sripted HUD controlled, remote controlled, called items. My HUDs are skipping digits and counting in 2's. All the objects this controlls are doubling. And my rezzers are rezzing doubled itmes. What's next double delivered items? Is there a workaround for this, is this a known issue because I can't find it anywhere.

Responding to what event?
The symptom sounds a lot like scripts with touch() handlers instead of touch_start() or touch_end(). But if these are driven by timer() or something, then that's obviously not the problem. _____________________

Someone else recently found a problem like that, with doors. Somehow two touch_start events were getting registered for each left click. You might see if the default "hello avatar" gives you doubled messages.

Well this was specifically a timed and called fireworks show that I noticed first. HUD controlled, I built it months ago and until a few days ago it was working fine. Now it went from a 10 minute show to some 30+ minutes. Rezzing double the launchers, and when i did try and rebuild it the HUD skips every 2nd command and digit. But I noticed a few scripted wearables were doing this a few days back, but it was more clear when you wear a device that specifically uses numeric digits on it's display.
And the default script only gives me 1 call, even when worn. Well my own creations only rez one item, I have no clue the scripting in the item in question, it's not modifiable. |

I have no idea if this could be related to something strange that happened to me the other day, but the mention of doubling is just too odd so I will throw it out there.
I was moving some furniture between stores and selected a whole set , took a copy, and rezzed it all together as a coalesced object in another. I made no adjustments to individual items, got it all in place as a group, and left. I came back later and the textures on one of the texture change sofas was going crazy. When I inspected it I found two of them at the same coordinates and the texture problem was flicker because someone has changed the texture on one so the couches didn't match anymore. I deleted one, but both were set for sale, which would not be the case if I had shift dragged one from the other. I went back to the original location, and there was no second couch in the original group I copied them from. I would still chalk this up to some sort of goof I made if I hadn't been out shopping for poseballs the same day and noticed the exact same texture flickering on a colorchange sofa for sale at that location. There must have been two there as well, right? Both texture change scripts worked on touch. _____________________

I started noticig a variety of strange script issues right around the time that Havok4 rolled out across the servers - no clue what other nice server *features* were pushed out at that time also.
The biggest thing I noticed is that my Mysti tool and the Cartel Hangout HUD will sometimes report the same name twice -- but usually only when the Hangout actually gets really busy or the sim gets really really laggy. No clue if that is related. _____________________

can you take the script out of the contents, maybe to inventory, make sure it's empty and then put it back. Do you have a "clean" copy of the script in inventory already you could use. I had a weird "bug" once that was doubling an action on something I was editing while wearing. When I pulled the script out, there was one identical one still in there. Pulled the second one out and it was empty. Put a totally clean script in and everything was peachy. The objects contents somehow had a bogus duplicate entry. The script only displayed as being one, but was actually getting run twice on the same globals best I could tell.

A little caution: If the item itself (not just the script) is no-mod, it will let you remove a script (although it fusses about it), but it won't let you put it back. So if the object is no-mod/no-copy, I think you could destroy the one copy by removing a script.
