So there I am at the Tube2SL Machinima group meeting and decide to log off for supper. 5 minutes ago, I decide it's time to log on again as I've got a live music show scheduled at 3PM SL time. AND the login screen tells me I need a new version of the viewer. OK.... so I go to download it and nothing happens. Good going guys. So when are you gonna put the required new version up there for us?
Yep... the download page is completely broken :\

It told me the same thing, thought I was up to date ...gawd. I tried to download, nothing so I just came into SL as normal.

So which version were you loggin on with originally. Even though the login screen says something about a Viewer Update Required, I was able to login okay with the 1.19.0.5 and 1.19.1.4 and the RC 1.20.6.86925 -- so.... I'm thinking that an update is not really required.
And yes, the download page does appear to be broken.

Same here. On the download page it same thing along with wnlarged texes and like 4 'could not find file's' in the top left corner.

I was using the previous 'latest' version. Oddly I've managed to log in using RC 1.20.5. Yes, I got the same 'Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Log In Until You Download The Latest Version' screen but was able to log in anyway. Nope, it doesn't make sense.

I've gotten rid of all the SL related files that I can find on my computer just in case it's something sinister (i.e. a hacker). I've never seen something like this on SL. I know there is no new releases because LL said that this RC would be the last one before it becomes the main download. Looks like this is the official start of the weekend! |
