Hi
I want to buy a parcel of land and when I click on the 'Buy Land' button I get a message saying I cannot buy it now and that a currency purchase would exceed my monthly trading limit by US$9.
Is there any way I can get my limit increased so I can buy the land? I have IM'd the owner but haven't heard back from him yet.

Once you are in the system for a while you can purchase land. You have to be a premium member for three or four days to purchase land. Purchasing private land can be done anytime. Be sure to read the covenants before purchase and read the Sticky note here on how to buy and sell land.

When you go premium, and put payment info on file with LL, you're limited in the amount of L$ you can buy for a few days. LL does this to reduce the chance of a stolen credit card being used to buy a large amount of L$. You can get around the restriction by opening an account with a third party exchange, such as http://www.slexchange.com . Buy your L$ from them, transfer the funds to your avatar's in-world account, and then purchase your land (or skins, hair, and clothes...whatever.) _____________________

You can ask for a review of your limits, but the land will probably be sold by the time that happens. I'd go with SLX for now. I went the review route and was soundly slapped down. I went to SLX and resolved the issue. Of course they have time and money limits too. "G" _____________________
