Hi All A friend of mine is having problems with uploading an image from photoshop, everytime he goes to upload it the dimensions change to 1024 x 512...... is there anyway that it can be uploaded maintaining the original ratio? I am a complete novice with PS and so cannot offer any advice to him! So any advice gratefully received! TIA BB  |

nope. SL always uses the same size.
However, by manipulating the dimensions of the texture on the prim, you can "square" it again. check the texture tab for "repeats per meter"

You should re-size the image in PhotoShop so each side is a "power of 2", that is,2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 or 1024 pixels. SL resizes to the closest of these for he sake of speed and efficiency when converting to and from JPEG2000.
