Video feeds in SL

I've been trying ever since I joined SL to get Video feeds to work. I've never been able to get one to run yet...even in the NCI area where I would expect things to be working.

I've set all the checkboxes in Video/Streaming Preferences to TRUE (checked).

I turned off the Windows Firewall, but it didn't change anything. The wireless router is technically a firewall but I don't know much about it's settings. Everything else in SL seems to work as designed.

I would like to get this part working....any help would be most welcome.

Do you have QuickTime installed? (SL uses that for its video decoding)

Possibly not...don't see it listed (as such) in the program list. Is this a free app...or do I have to buy it?

Cool, I'll try that and see if it works. I am a bit surprised that this info isn't part of the introduction.
