Ok I got this message from lindens stating that they reset my credit card because for some reason every month there seems to be a problem with them billing it well they stated in this email that there billing from england now I thought sl was in the us does that mean we will be charged more with it going to england I always thought the us dollar is worth more over there anyways must be a way for them to make money off charging our credit cards. Does anyone know when they started this billing from england this was the first that I heard of this thought they were based in CA

Billing issues started occuring frequently mid-November last year (lost payment info, trouble getting payment info entered, etc) so that could be the time they started moving things around.
Looking at my credit card statements, the description changed from April to May of this year.
You might be charged a "foreign transaction fee" for paying tier or buying L$ but in that case it's your bank that's adding the charge and not LL.

The card I normally use for SL does not charge this foreign transaction fee, but I had to use a different one recently, and that one did add in the extra fees.

I had an issue with my bank when LL moved thier bank to the UK. Due to all the piss-poor planning (if any) and implementation that LL showed during this move, my bank flagged their payments as "Fraudulant" and thereby stoped all payments to any and all accounts dealing with LL.
Thankfully my bank is run by people with intelligence, so they sent me a letter, as well as phoned me to inform me of the situation. A brief trip down to the bank, a few electronic queries, and a signature from me, had my payments flowing to LL again.
Talk with your bank. They may be flagging LL the same way mine did and it might be able to be straighted out easy.
Note: That my CC is through my bank, not another agency, so there was no 3rd party involvement. Such involvement may complicate things a bit more.
Good luck. ~Jessy

Due to all the piss-poor planning (if any) and implementation that LL showed during this move, my bank flagged their payments as "Fraudulant" and thereby stoped all payments to any and all accounts dealing with LL. I ran into a similar problem where my bank put a hold on ALL my accounts, not just the one used for LL billing. I received numerous phone calls stating they believed my account was compromised and may be being used for fraudulent activity stating I was showing as making purchases in England? Knowing I'm not in England, they flagged the account and put them all on hold. Now this was not just the account that my Linden payments were being paid from, but all my accounts with that bank. Needless to say... this was a HUGE problem as I had access to NONE of my money. Like Jessy, taking a trip to my bank branch, verifying my ID, blah blah...it was fixed in 2 days. They showed me transaction histories. Some payments said Linden Labs..others showed as Second Life something. It was all an inconvenience, but I'm happy my bank was so on top of things to protect my account. No problems now when they see LL or SL on transactions and no foreign transaction fee, as the parent company is based in CA.

My payment gets blocked by my credit card co. almost every month, meaning I have to contact them to authorise payment, even though I've told them payments to LL are OK.
