Hello.
I just started Second Life... and I'm having trouble finding an answer to a problem I'm having.

I went to a store and purchased an outfit, but I got an object item, which when I try to wear, it just attaches a box picture of the outfit onto my arm. I can't for the life of me figure out how to put the outfit on.

Any ideas? Thanks :)

What you need to do is find a place where you can rez objects.

Open your inventory and drag that box to the ground.

Right click on the box and open it.

Choose copy contents to inventory... or something like that.

Voila! You have a folder in your inventory with the clothes.

Sounds like the outfit is packaged in the box. Just rez the box on the ground and right click, then click 'open'-- it should copy all the clothing items to your inventory in a folder. Then you can take the box back. :)

Edit: Wow, you're fast, Bree, beat me to it. :D

Once you have retrieved the items from the box and they are safely in your inventory, it's generally a good idea to delete the (empty) box, rather than take it back into your inventory. Down the road, empty boxes clutter your inventory and can also be frustrating when you are looking for things, because you may simply open an empty box instead of the thing you were looking for.
