Okay so I updated my videocard to an ATI X1300 256MB the other day, and as soon as I did, I got onto SL and noticed that I couldn't AltCam anymore. Well, I've tried everything, and since free account holders can't get help from the Lindens, I have to ask you guys. This is what it's like when I try to altcam: It's as if it's zooming in onto a transparent prim with max zoom, however, there is no transparent primitive in my way, it's just doing this on it's own accord. This only happens when I zoom in on objects, but I can zoom around on Land and the base of avatars, however as soon as I try to zoom in on an object, my camera spazzes out and I lose the camera half the time.. I need help with this because I build frequently, and AltCamming is highly important for building. Thanks.

I have been experiencing this problem too, ever since the first voice client. It's pretty annoying when you are working on a extremely small item for some jewelry. I have not been able to determine a cause for it, but I doubt that it is your video card. It happens on my system and several others that are all on different hardware.

The Fix For IT!
10-06-2007 06:12
Alright, so what you can do is go into Client> Debug Setting> Renderdynamicreflections (it should show up automatically) Make that false, then type in RenderGlow in the debug settings menu, make that false. Go into Edit>Preferences>Networking>Clear Cache. Restart the client, and it should work. For further answers on this bug/issue: http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/MISC-156http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-512That's where I got the help from. Now you guys got a fix for it.
