We all know how SL clothing, without prims, looks skin tight, with no movement apart from the body, almost like it's painted on. Now that style of clothing has hit real life, in this aircraft safety video from Air New Zealand: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-Mq9HAE62Y .

For RL examples of prim attachments, see her videos. :D

At least the ladies weren't wearing skirts that look like lamp shades.

It is a relief to know where all the "ixets" are.

Now that I live in Poland let me tell you that fashion sense here in Warsaw can quite often make me wish I had a camera - things people in SL would NEVER wear and beyond!

Recently there was a fashion for young women to wear wide, almost rigid-looking white belts that serve no purpose as they're not attached to any other item of clothing. I resisted the temptation to get one for myself in RL and SL, but they do look like prim attachments.

And here's one that makes me think of a newbie getting psyched up to grief a public sandbox before getting banned by LL!

OK as a couple of examples:

In SUMMER, mind (though it has rained a lot) patterned wellington boots are fashionable. In summer. So imagine someone wearing a lime green top with a pattern like 1970's wallpaper, with a dark beige skirt which is like the old puffball skirts in the 1980's but has a band around the bottom to pull it into the thighs, semi opaque mid grey tights and a pair of purple checked pattern wellies with some other sort of pattern on too ...

OR the girl I saw wearing a yellow T shirt with a turquoise bolero jacket, a skirt which was a different and clashing shade of turquoise, canary yellow completely opaque tights and bright red shoes ...

My usual description when asked about my life here is "It's just batshit" - and I get stared at for having long dark red curly hair!! Spose it all depends on what you're used to huh :)

you know, it could be very amusing for the rest of the world if you got yourself a digital camera and a flickr account ;)

in general that sounds a lot like house of nyla.

in case you don't know, that's a canadian designer selling in RL and SL.

in short, vivienne westwood meets torley linden XD

I was there a couple weeks ago on business and saw the ad. Somewhere on youtube is a video of the making of the ad. They are real Air NZ staff, incl the CEO, he's one of the luggage handlers, I was told.

LMAO Lance...yeah....get a camera, we wanna see that~!!!

I'm pretty sure Lady Gaga has prim hair too.....living proof that SOME SL fashion concepts should NOT be brought over to the other side. As for the New Zealand crew.....how the hell did they get thru that whole video without laughing their asses off!!! (probably a few takes) :p

I guess you never saw Rock of Love 1 & 2 - which spurred me to think of the terms Frankensluts. And what is see in SL morphed that into Frankenbarbies.

That was what I thought when my wife showed me that last week. She was looking for the "boob jiggle" (it's in the background when the guy is playing with his cellphone) while I was going "man, they have their looseness sliders all the way down".

That was incredibly funny. :)

Too bad if they could never air that in the USA, even as tame as it was...

Anyone else look around in public and catch themselves thinking, "that would make a really good SL outfit"?

Or shape? Or hairstyle?

I find the female Kiwi accent quite sexy, specially when it's of the more cosmopolitan variety.

/me grins, with one in particular in mind :)

I usually see stuff in SL then look for it in RL. The only things I've specifically looked for SL equivalents of are my Chucks.
