I've been in SL real estate for over 2 years now and I've never quite figured out the relationship between the value of the Linden at any given moment, and land prices and valuation.

Can somebody please explain to me how these two work together?

There is no relationship between them...

Land values are set largely by how much Mainland LL dumps on the market, and how fast. LL dumps a bunch of new sims on the auction block, and the value of existing land tanks. LL holds back on dumping new sims on us, and land values rise.

L$ values are largely regulated by LL by them buying and/or selling large amounts of currency to keep the price right about where it is today, at about L$ 265 to the US Dollar.

Thanks Ceera! I understood how the two worked individually, but was uncertain as to how they related to one another. Good to know that they don't have influence over each other. I guess the Lindens make sure of that on both fronts.
