Adding poses to a bed

I just bought a bargain bed that has a few of my favorite "poses" missing. How do I add more poses to it? I understand going into edit>content> and then dragging over - but what and where do I get the poses I want? Do I just drop the script contents of other poseballs into the bed?

TIA,
Kate

That all depends on the bed. If it's an MLP based bed with mod enabled, it's actually not too difficult to add new poses to the menu, but you've got to edit the script. Try asking for more help in the scripting tips forum.

I would expect to have to do some notecard editing at least.

Read the instructions.

Most things come with instructions in the contents, or the box.

The first question is, is the bed mod? Will it allow you to add poses to it?

The second question is, how does it manage the existing poses? Is there a menu that pops up?

If there's a menu, that means there's already a scripting system inside, all you have to do is figure out how that works and how to modify the script so that you can add new poses to the ones already programmed into the system. The most common system used for menu-driven beds is the MLP system, which is free. You would probably be able to get it inworld or on SLexchange.com, and it should come with an instructions notecard on how to use it. (Of course you don't need the script itself, since your bed would already have it, but the notecard would probably come in handy since you're trying to figure it out!)

MLP is actually way easy :-) I added poses to a chair and bed and it was super easy once I figured it out. Plus its soo cute to have menus with your personalized touch instead of the same ole menu tags you always see :-)
The MENUITEMS notecard should actually have instructions I think.. Drop your pose/animations into contents and then add the line in the MENUITEMS notecard. Something like this:

POSE Cute Hug! female_hug | male_hug

Hope this helps!!
