Hey,

I got windlight, I cleared my cache and I have all my inventory items, I need to know why this is happening. When i put on a skirt (not a prim skirt a regular skirt) the gray appears and than it never shows that I am wearing a skirt but in my inventory in bold letter it clearly says (worn). Doesn anyone have a clue and this isnt one out fit. This is all skirts. on thanks, im too tired for this crap to not work.

And random avs dont appear either just their bubbles. its weird.

sounds like the texture's not loading.

Maybe you just need to give it time?

My friend had this problem. She was able to edit the skirt - changed the length - save it - changed the length back and save it again - it was ok after that.

Sounds like your system can't handle the windlight viewer. go back to the normal client.

*nods* It's not just your system either. I think textures are flat taking longer to download with Windlight. My computer hates me, so I could be wrong.

This diesnt seem to be a problem with peoples systems but some sort of bug.
This avatar had a the problem with the skirt section of a jacket going invisibles the other night, and i managed to cure it by rebaking the textures twice, ctr-alt-R, however a new alt of mine is also having the same problem but nothing is curing it for him.

Another female avatar i know is also having the same trouble with a skirt, though her prim dress rezes fine. We both use totally different PC ststems and video cars, so thats why i think its a bug rather than a user problem.

When the skirt is invisible it still shows up for my when i edit apperance, as soon as i close that it vanishes once more, i am guessing it will get fixed eventually.

Hmmm, I had attributed it to the sorry state the grid is in right now. Half my home rezzes, but is invisible. And I had a skirt wardrobe malfunction yesterday. Oh well, I'll try the normal viewer next time this happens.

Don't know about now with this new content added on but many times if you tp somewhere when you arrive there you'll have the clothes on and you'll be able to see them on..

In Windlight everything seems to take ages to load, textures, attatchments, huds. Pretty when it's finished though. :)

It's a known issue with Windlight. My WL has been working great with the exception of skirt textures simply not loading...ever. LOL I can't wear skirts at all. Also I get odd ball textures on my AV from time to tim in odd places......just seem to be random glitches from out of nowhere.....but rebake fixes that.

I noticed this on someone else just now, she was wearing an alpha mesh skirt and it would *poof*.

Turning off avatar imposters fixed it, so it might be related to that feature.

Hmm, so since the problem is WL, this would mean that any other WL user would see you half naked, even if you didn't?

I'd like do awful things to you, but I'm pretty sure you'd snap me in two like a twig and leave me cross-eyed, dizzy and confused. I'm giving you a 9.8, tied for the top rating ever given. Almost off-the charts slutty. Shame on you and congratulations. -- Trout

Milla, check the posts in the First Look forum. Someone there said something about turning off object-object occlusion in the Client/Render menu. Whatever THAT means.

Imagine a wall (with a solid no-alpha texture) with on one side a table and on the other side a bench.

Without occlusion you'll always render those three objects whether you can actually see them from where you are or not.

With occlusion - if you're standing on one side of the wall - the wall will occlude the bench if you're standing on the table's side so you know you can skip ("cull";) the bench and get a performance gain from that.

(I think there's a KB article on it as well actually)

Thanks for that, Zesje. I've been having strange skirt related questions from customers lately and wondered if it was something I'd done wrong.
