Adult search entrys

Hi everyone

Does anybody know, when linden is setting up the search so that adult content search keywords will not find non adult content sims ?

I think its a bit unfair for people which has moved to zindra now and other people can still be visible in search and can sell there adult items at there mature or PG content sims.

As I understand it -- and I could be mistaken -- this will happen when using 1.23 becomes mandatory, which -- according to Blondin Linden -- should be some time towards the end of this month.

I was forced to upgrade to 1.23 two days ago or I wouldn't be able to log in. I dont upgrade until it's demanded.

From all we have been told, the search terms listed on PG & Mature sims will not show up in search if they are *adult* in nature, even if you have adult settings checked.

What that means basically... you can stay mature, and advertise, but no one will be able to SEE the adult terms in your listing.

We have REALLY been pushing Blondin to nail down a set date for the change, and He simple can't give us one. There are many private islands that assume they do NOT have to flag adult, and that's wrong. Our last suggestion to Blondin was a mass email, to anyone still with adult content, advising them that soon they will have to either move to Adult land (if they are mainland) Flag adult if they are private island, or remove the Adult Content to stay in business.

One thing that I bitched at Blondin about was the fact that on the *job ops* forum here, are NUMEROUS job listings for *adult things* and only maybe one or two that mention you have to have payment info on file/used, or be age verified to get a job. Obviously a LOT of people still have NO idea what's coming, or simply think they can skate the rules. We (and i say that collectively, since there are a LOT that have been protesting, and working on this since day one to make it a better plan) have tried our best to get the word out, but in the end, LL has seriously bumblefu*ked this whole ordeal.

It will come as a shock to many when the TOS is officially changed, and the rules go into effect to find they can no longer operate their businesses legally. It's been just over a month now, and they are still processing the first wave of tickets. I think the first onslaught was more than they were prepared to handle, I hate to see what happens when they finally inform the masses.

There were no options. I got the message that this was mandatory or I wouldn't be able to log into secondlife. While I could try downloading and installing 1.22, I figure there's no point since eventually they'd force me into this version anyway.

The whole idea of the adult word filters is not to completely kill all of our adult business (maybe). If we just go along with posting all events and activities as adult only, millions of accounts will not even know we are on the grid. The same is true if you list an event mature. Most noobs are 'born' with only PG checked for their search options. And LL does nothing to alert the new players about all of the content they are not being made aware of. The choice is taken out of their hands until they stumble upon those options.

I kept 512M of PG land. I tone down my listing and post it there. When folks tp there I use it as a threshold to my Adult event space. They can make sure they are adult verified while in the PG ;and and then click my event map and teleport to the Adult Event.

Some self-appointed hall monitors tell me that this is not allowed. But even Linden Lab allowed us to place landmark givers on our old parcels after we accepted the Zindra swap - so it is all being done in the spirit of the new rules.

When I post the same event at both my Adult and PG parcel - I get twice as many visits to the PG parcel. And over half of those people adult verify and continue onto the adult parcel.

When was this said? All I've seen is that your parcels won't be seen by people searching for PG & Mature, that's what the last email said and that is happening now.

I bet the --channel "Any Major Dude" option would still work.

I hope that linden is activating this soon.

After they do this all people will recognize that something happend.
I know much owner of escort places for example who doenst know anything about zindra.
After the change it will work itself... thy will notice that they are not listed and that they have to move. And th customers will notice that they have to get age proved.

But it would be realy sad if it would be possible to find adult content stuff on mature or PG sims.... Because if only a few shops of a categorie will be found there all other shops will be broken after a few month.
