What is the situation with having a casino on SL - I have a resident who wants to sell me a roullette table, Blackjack Table and slot machines.
I wanted to check first about the law with casinos in SL
Some ppl have said they have seen casinos in SL - is it allowed and if so are there certain games allowed ?

Policy Regarding Wagering in Second Life

It is a violation of this policy to wager in games in the Second Life environment operated on Linden Lab servers if such games:

(1) (a) rely on chance or random number generation to determine a winner, OR (b) rely on the outcome of real-life organized sporting events,

AND

(2) provide a payout in

(a) Linden Dollars, OR

(b) any real-world currency or thing of value.

This includes (but is not limited to), for example, Casino Games such as:

o Baccarat
o Blackjack
o Craps
o Faro
o Keno
o Pachinko
o Pai Gow
o Poker
o Roulette
o Sic Bo
o Slot machines

It also includes Sports Books or Sports Betting, including the placing of bets on actual sporting events against a book-maker or through a betting exchange.

Linden Lab will actively enforce this policy. If we discover gambling activities that violate the policy, we will remove all related objects from the inworld environment, may suspend or terminate the accounts of residents involved without refund or payment, and may report any relevant details, including user information, to authorities and financial institutions.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Don't buy gambling games, and instead report the seller, please. Or don't report..either way, don't buy it and/or use it, because then YOU could get in trouble, and that's no fun.

Simple way to look at it: Absolutely no gambling allowed period.

More complex way: OK, well a few situations, but you have to subsection C or article 14b of...blahblahblah....

My understanding is that you can have these games, as long as no money changes hands. At Carnivale Royale, we've had blackjack and roulette for points (which can't be exchanged for anything) and those have been fine.

As long as it doesn't have any gambling, I should think it's OK to have a mothballed casino for people to go and look at.
