About 6000, plus some more back-end stuff like the asset servers that don't run on Linux.

How Many Servers is SL Currently Running On? Pep (They are all moving on something just below walking pace) PS Except the one for the Eastern Bloc countries. That's "Russian". _____________________

I was interested to know approximate number of machines too.
The peak concurency is in the low 80,000s. _____________________

Let's see here, we have 1,000 hamsters running at any given time. You have to subtract some from time to time if they died from exhaustion (legally, they're required to have one 10 minute break every 4 hours, but LL isn't good at following the rules). You'd have to multiply the number of hamsters with the number of wheels, then factor in concurrency levels, and don't forget to add some of Phil's bots into the equation. It's pretty complicated, I'll try and get back to you on this....

Oh yes. I'd forgotten about my bots. Then the peak concurrency these days is around 140,000
