Has Anyone Run Into This Graphic Error?

I was teleporting around the grid today and suddenly the backgrounds and even objects would show a website from IKEA. Sometimes the objects and backgrounds would resolve and sometimes not.

I've uploaded a snapshot from the Sprott Shaw Sandbox that shows the page. Go here to view: http://cid-098cf47f5c82f3d4.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/SL%20Strangeness/SL%20Background%20Error.png

I didn't report the bug, because I'm not sure whether it is indeed a bug or if someone hacked SL again.

Yesterday I tpd in to our store to find that EVERY object had taken the texture of a random snapshot in my inventory. I was panic stricken (no details, you get the picture [and no pun intended]). I had my partner log on to see the disaster unfolding and in HIS viewer, everything was normal! Very Twilight Zoneesque.

I've had things like my MSN session show up on my t-shirt in-world and people around me could see it as well. It would go away after a rebake and I don't think I've seen it happen with 1.21.

SL's cache got corrupted and it is now loading seemingly random other images loaded in your gfx card's memory. This is what is happening. Why it happens I have no idea.

Luckily it usually resolves itself.

OMG  This used to happen to me all the time back in late '06. That was some sort of graphics card related problem. Not sure it ever got properly fixed as I upgraded eventually and that fixed it for me. I really hope it's not coming back. Things are already getting too much like those times for me!

So you were looking at the lovely Tromsö bed? I've had the large version sans lower bed for over six years now, I can recommend it! ;)

Nah, you should probably really try clearing the cache and rebaking first before thinking Ikea wants you to buy stuff!

Sorry Alyx, I don't frequent IKEA's site. I will however try clearing the cache and see if that helps.

We are witnessing the evolution of HTML on a prim.

Evolution works in fits and spurts.

We could try breeding the computers that display this behavior together and see if ultimately we can get FLASH on a prim in the descendents.

Using the 1.22 RC viewer, over the past month roughly, my upper skin and top has sometimes taken on the texture of something near me and even once the textures of my attached HUDs. Usually this happens when I pop up another application on my monitor and then when I minimize that application, the strange texture transformation has happened - but it does not always happen. A rebake has always fixed it for me.
