Really fighting to get the music stream working - sometimes it takes a long time to 'kick in'. This is not at all typical, same URLS as before and they do work in iTunes and stuff. Anyone else having issues getting the music stream to 'handshake'?

so, you've used the same streams before and now they are having issues?
first guess would be net congestion, it's a likely culprit. to test stay in SL and try the stream from an external player. if that seems to work fine my guess would be either SL is dropping packets because it can't keep up, or there's some funky routing issue whith how SL requests the stream. _____________________

Tonight it is very bad I am trying to update 10 music units and it's been a nightmare.I am sure there is a ghost in the works tonight.I make changes go on to the next and when i go back every thing has reverted to the way it was .It's like slipping textures only this is on notecards and scripts .I am baffled.I am using an onrez viewer, but that should be OK.I am going to swap and try again.

Haven't noticed any issues myself, Hathead. Is it in SL you think, or within your stream provider? I have my own hosted streams on my own server, so when they get spotty I can restart them. I have found it rarely to actually be SL's issue with the audio streams.

I have noticed some issues the past 2 days. several streams have been unreachable for a couple hours and even my service was unreachable for a bit. Not sure whats up but there has been some routing problems on the net which can cause spotty services
