Hello oh wise and knowledgeable Forum People!

Tis the season for spooks and witches and vampires and werewolves and all things full of creepy goodness.

Please share with me and others the wonderful Halloween builds you find around SL! As the weekend approaches I feel the need for Haunted Houses and chills. :)

I'll start by sharing mine: Neko Park - a great amusement park with a really cool Haunted House! The park is mainly geared towards SL Kids but everyone is welcome there, adults, furryies, vampires, Robots, Dinos, tinys - as long as you are nice. :) After a cool ride through the haunted house check out the other rides, the Log Flume RAWKS!

Just do a search for Neko Park in the ALL tab (with places selected) and you should be able to TP directly to Main Street. :)

I'll have to go check that out.

I heard about this one on another forum

Trepid Station Haunted Train station

In the opinion of this wimp, it is not for the faint of heart. I had a good time though.

Let me add one more:

The Devils Labyrinth!

While not specifically Halloween themed it is absolutely the best maze of any kind I've ever encountered in SL! Very horror oriented, take a friend or two! You'll love it! If you have trouble finding it in search IM me and I'll send ya a LM!

Oooo .... there's a great haunted house ride at Mouse Island - I think that's the name of it. Lots of fun ... the island has strict role play rules, however (why ... I dunno ... but they do).

Oooh there is a haunted school challenge as well that I completed several days ago. It was teh awesome. Funny even in creepy ways. I can't remember the name or slurl because I'm at my work world at the moment but I'll come back to the thread cause I want to sample a few of these you've posted.

Thanks for the hits so far! I'm looking forward to checking these places out this weekend. :)

But surely there are more out there than this! Anyone else have any recommendations for spooky halloween'y sims, builds to see?

Share the wealth! :)

I've created a Halloween pack with the locations from this thread at wikitipi.com.

It's modable so anyone can add more destinations.

If you already have a wikiTiPi account you can click on the link below to load the Halloween pack directly into your HUD.

Sn@tch's Cutting Class was a lot of fun, but it's more of a game...you have to find and figure out clues to proceed.

(That may be the link to the store, but there's a teleporter to the Halloween build inside.)

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I have one...

Solace Beach's "No Solace for the Wicked" Halloween Experience - 1 1/4 sims of creepy and fun rides and walk-through mazes and houses! There is no admission fee, but please tip if you can - there's nothing scarier than land tier fees!

http://slurl.com/secondlife/Solace%20Beach/209/103/24

The frights awaiting you include...

Carnival of Carnivorous Clowns - a 1/2 hour long maze adventure. This is an incredible, unique experience and our largest adventure - don't miss it!

Alien Abduction Area, Creepy Cornfield and Freaky Farm - walk through scary/funny attractions.

Ghost Pirate Ship - Shiver me timbers!

Edgar Allan Poe House - an old Victorian atop a hill, with classic chills and a touch of melancholy.

Classic Haunted House - more frights await!

Gift Shop - buy something or a ghost will follow you home!

Rat Land - The Nastiest Place on Earth. Mouse World has nothing on us!

Carousels, Ferris Wheels, Log Flume, and other assorted rides.

Experience them all...if you dare!

Another place that isn't specifically Halloween-themed, but is still darn creepy: the old abandoned asylum at Deviant. It's on a hill, surrounded by overgrown woods, and is just a spooky place to walk through. Especially with sound on-- there's a ticking clock sound that you can hear all over. It's extremely detailed, a really amazing build.

Can't believe nobody has yet mentioned Octoberville.

This is a sim sized halloween themed attraction. There's a huge scavenger hunt (no prizes just the glory). There's a haunted mansion, apple bobbing & loads to explore. Be warned though, if you do start the hunt be prepard to be driven nuts until you finish it :) Sorry don't have a slurl to hand but type Pixeltrix in the map & that will get you there.

Ooh! Thanks guys, there are some on here I wouldn't have ever known about otherwise and can't wait to try.

Halloween Horror Village - has the Bates motel and other movie-inspired horror settings to walk through

Love Bugg's Haunted House (or something like that) it has a ride although it was broken when I went and people ended up walking through - it was still fun, and some nice freebies around.

I also like the many, many pumpkin treasure hunts around - some have very good freebies in the pumpkins. Just type pumpkin in events or places.
