I have found several bugs since the new Havok 4 update yet I am finding the JIRA bug reporting system so confusing and hard to use I have decided to stop trying to report them.

Anyone else having simialtr issues and feeling and do you think this is treally good for the future of SL is users can not easlily reoprt bugs?

There's a fairly good step-by-step for reporting Havok4 bugs in the "How Do I Report A Simulator Problem?" header of http://blog.secondlife.com/2008/04/02/second-life-simulator-v120083683-rollout-followup/

I don't think reporting bugs is all that bad (although I do hate having to log onto it every time I open it), it's searching if someone has already reported the same bug that really frustrates me.

The Jira is an absolutely awful system for bug reporting. If I tried to implement a system like that at work the vast majority of users simply wouldn't fill in the reports, it's way too cumbersome.

Reporting a bug should be simple and not require reading tutorials on how to do it. They have made it such a hassle that most people, especially causual users will never do it. Perhaps that is their plan?

Bingo! The Jira has uses, it's good for people to exchange ideas and discussions, people who are used to using such a system will utilise it well. However for reporting a bug, the system should be simple. I'm sure the Jira puts a lot of people off bothering to report bugs and that is a great shame.
