when monkey heads fly and the nasty green text begins, often with my name in it, i never know what to do
i try to report it
but can never locate the offender (they dont show up in the search for the offender feature and i cannot type in a name - it wont allow it)
and therefore cannot report it because you need a name

i'm used to it
i usually just go somewhere else
but when it happens on orientation island public it is scary to the new people and i never know what to do to help other than try and explain what is going on

my question after that loooooooong background
:/
is this>
is there anything a basic account can do to report this?

yes, right click the object you see spamming stuff, go through the pie menus for 'report', that should bring up the Abuse Report window... and it should auto fill out the name

if it doesn't go through the same pie menu, and choose inspect, this will show you the owners name, and in the AR window you can enter that in the search part (which will pull up the person and THEN you can select them)

since you have their name now you can also mute them, which should also mute their object.

if you can't find an object to right click on you can still mute the object by using the mute feature in the chat history (ctr+h) or by going though the mute list (view --> mute list... i think) and then select mute by name, which should stop particle spam, and chat spam from the object

make AR's simple and concise like
Greifing @ location
chat spam
particle spam
etc

thank you so much!!
:)

i had seen the word "object" on the ar form but didn't know how to use it

and i never even thought about the mute option

thank you for telling how to mute because i have never done that and would never have been able to figure it out while in the midst of needing to know how
