I am trying to take pictures of myself for a portfolio. I am useing the N30 Deluxe Modeling Studio v2.3. My problem is that my pictures are all poorly ratioed. I have a widescreen monitor and am using Windlight.
I can use the Current Window setting and my picture centers just like my screen shows. But if I change the size image to smaller the center moves to the bottom left. Also, no matter what I do with the size, the pictures I get are square and make me thinner than I really am once I upload. While the pictues are viewed from outside SL they look great.
Is there some way to make the image I upload look right? And how do I make the picture center in the same place as my camera?
Thanks

SL resizes any picture or texture to powers of two. You are using a wide screen monitor which is not at a power of two. If you have a 9 to 4 or a 5 to 4 ratio for you monitor and you are taking pictures at that aspic ratio SL will resize your image to one of the closest powers of two..........or 1 to 1 which is square.
You can set the size of your pictures saved to disk on the picture dialog when it pops up with your snapshot. Or you can crop your image offline using any popular imaging software that has that capability (most do). One other way is to "pad" around the edges of the image with some neutral color to make a squarethe canvas or at a power of two to prevent SL from resizing on upload.
Check the "texturing tips" forums for a stickie explaining in detail what is happening.
