Windlight works perfectly for me on the whole but after I have downloaded it I can log in with no problem the first time but when I launch it again the log in screen won't load and it makes it impossible...all I get is a white sceen with a few odd squares where some of the words should be. For me to actually be able to log in again I have to download it again.

Has anyone else had this problem and are LL aware of it?

Would this happen to be with an ATI/AMD card on OS X "Leopard" ? If so, there's a possibly relevant jira, http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-3745. And even if it's on something else, might be worth trying the workaround suggested there: delete the "/Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/SecondLife/user_settings" folder between sessions. (Slightly quicker than a complete re-install.)

That would be an OS X path.

On Linux it would be "~/.secondlife/user_settings";

on XP it's "\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\SecondLife\user_settings";

on Vista... oh, let's just hope it's not Vista.

You could also try bypassing the login screen by logging in here:
http://secondlife.com/app/login/go.php

They're rolling back to the old login system soon, and that prolly won't work anymore, but you won't need it anymore either

I'll be so very glad when they roll back to the old login system. It takes less time than the new one from my point of view.
